Thank you so much for your suggestions and wishes.

I applied for waiver not because I have a new status pending, but simply for future convenience once I graduate. I got waived because I have no ties of any kind to China or US organizations. So my J status remains valid till next summer. How dangerous is my case if I go back this winter? Thanks for any further advice.
