1. yes, you can file I-485 when you are filing to change status (Your status would be H4 before F1 approved)
2. no conflict
3. EAD is not a status, so you would be in F1 (if you don't use EAD). But if you use EAD, you lose F1 and only have 485 pending.
4. really no difference if you are sure you can file I-485 soon.
