CA landing fee refund

Since I got my US greencard earlier, I did not enter Canada for landing as required by 8/28, so does it mean I have given up my canadian PR and are they gonna refund the landing fee back to me automaticly or i have to ask for it, if so, what should i have to do? thanks.
