I changed my address while I-485 pending, didn't call the 800 number. I just sent in the AR11 form and also sent a letter to clearly let them my old and new address to the INS 485 processing address. I was with Nebraska center, they have the address on their website. Why did you have to call? It is not easy to get the address totally correct by phone.
