To my knowledge, at the time you I-485 get approved, especially, after several years, you have to be able to certify that you have a job in US which is similar as the job when you were filling. If you leave US, how can you guarantee your employment in US after several years?

My be my understanding is wrong. More information and opinion on this issue would be very appreciated!
