police certificate from china

I have been in the USA for 6 years and never went back to china before. Now I want to apply for the canadian immigration. I don't know how to get the police certificate from china. I have a notarized document done 6 years ago,not as it is required to be done within last 3 month. Can I use it? I would really appreciate any help and advice!
