Supporting documents (I mean exhibits) are only used as evidences and have many many pages. If your petition letter presents clearly, officers may just check a few of pages while most are never opened. So it is important to put them in a big binder, label with index tabs and let the officer easy to locate the individual exhibit.
The real important materials are forms, passports, visas, checks, photos. You should not staple or punch any of them because the officer need to take some of them out and read carefully.
When you pack your materials, remember to do it for the officer's convienence. Thus, the officer will happy to review your information.
It is important to give a good impression to the officer.
