Same boat, I just talked to my lawyer, she said I can apply for OPT, but can not apply for extension. BUT, the counselors they just check some info. online, then issue a new I-20 in 5 mins, how they know wheather you applied for the 485 or not? are they linked with SEVIS? I never know about this until I saw some post here, sad...Please share the info! dongdong72@yahoo.com.cn
