我們的律師有問題嗎?關於I-485

兩天前從網上查到我們的I140已經批了,隨後就得知排期的事情.我們想盡快在十月一日前把I-485申請交上去.可我們的律師說"For the month of September 2005, there is no visa number available for 3rd preference (your category). Therefore, you cannot file I-485. "
到底怎麽回事,請明白人指點迷津.多謝啦!!
