必須要140 receipt叫485嗎

移民局9月9號收到我們的140,支票已經取了。但我們現在還沒收到receipt. 從支票背麵我看到140 的case number. 如果我們再收不到，能不能在485上填了這個140 的case number,再寫封信說明一下先交了485？等receipt來了再給寄去。實在怕等得過頭了錯過10月1號期限
