I-140 AD March 2005
I-485 AD Sept. 13
Asked the lawyer to check the status of I-485 on August 19, 2005
Got response from CIS on Sept. 06, 2005 to say "no visa available at this time"
My lawyer followed up with CIS via American Immigration Lawyer's Association, and
Both my and my wife's I-485 were arroved on Sept.13.
My experience is asking the lawyer to follow up if your case has passed the processing date was really helpful.
My I-140 was approved also two weeks after my lawyer followed up with CIS. Hope everybody would be lucky.
