I called USCIS last month about my case and got the following reply yesterday:
"The file has been requested from the Nation Record Center. As soon as it is recieved the I485 will be reviewed".
Then I got an email from my congressman's office saying that my case is pending for security clearance.
I am a little confused. Based on the reply from INS, it appears that my file is in their record center, waiting for precessing. However, based on the email from the congressman's office, my case is waiting for security check in FBI.
Any clue from their messages? Any other suggestions?
