you are right theoratically although the practice is full of risk as a lot of us agree. I filed 140&485 based on certified EB2 perm on 08/03/05. You can find my timeframe in my previous post (search by my name :luckyfool.) however, the recruiting period for PERM was not included. My PERM recruiting started in January and lasted 5 months althought theoratically the minimum recruiting should be 60 days (because application should be submitted at least 60 days after getting job order number from state labor dept.) In one word, it took me 7 months to get the current situation (PERM certified, 140&485 pending). In your case, you should also consider the risk associated with EB-2 retrogression, which is very likely by December 2005 according to visa bulletin as of 9/05. Hope this helps.
