F1 or else

All,
got onfused what status should it be. Used to be F1, now with I485 pending, with spouse's I140 approved. What status is it now? Because the fall semester is about to start, need to know if it is necessary to sign up full credit hours to keep F1 valid. Feel it is ok not to do so, but not sure. Anyone has any idea concerning this? Thank you for any advices.
