If you are not PI or Co-PI, it is not useful. Usually you are listed as critical personal, but that is not enough. Sometime it may even hurt, because it means you are not independent.

The grant that is useful is your fellowship, that is postdoc or pre-doctoral grant under your name, not your boss's.
