Based on my experience, whether your official marriage date before your 485 approval date or not, you must submit your spouse's 485 before the principle's 485 approval. In another word, in your spouse's 485 receipt date is later than your, the pinciple's 485 approval date, your spouse has not previllage to share with you. I am pretty because I met the same situation as yours a couple of months ago. I called my lawyer and confirmed as above.

Take care but you can appeal with them but it takes long time.
