Go to the Canadian Immigration website and download all the applications and instructions. From there you will find out what you need to prepare and need to do. It takes about a year from the time you submitted your application to Buffalo and the time they are ready to give you immigration visa, provided that you do not need an interview. If you need an interview, it could be a much longer time. But it takes some time and work to get all the documents for the applicaation before you submit it. So say you only need three months to prepare all the documents such as notarized diploma, birth document, previous employer reference, police certificate, etc, and you do not need an interview, if you send out your application tomorrow, then you should be able to get your immigrant visa by the end of 2006.
