you need to make sure your prospecctive new boss will not to get any reference from your current boss about your performance here. Otherwise you will het trouble? you probably end up with losing new job and ruine your relationship with your current boss. Just think about it. If your new boss promise to keep it as confindential without getting any reference from your current boss, you will be ok.

Think over and over before you jump.
