maple card help

I landed in Toronto at the end of May. It's been 2 months since the landing. But I haven't received my maple card. The Visa Office said it would take around 1 month to get it.Anyone has the same experience? By the way, I provided my friend's address in Canada as the mailing address. Also, is there any way to check the status besides that 1-800 number since I am in US and that number does not work outside Canada.You suggestions is highly appreciated. Thank you.
