i got same situation with you before, i have my medical exam on Mar. and there was no any response from them until July 1.

i check the Detroit website (http://www.dfait-maeci.gc.ca/detroit/)everyday (i have interview in Detroit, if you don't have interview, just check Buffalo website http://www.dfait-maeci.gc.ca/buffalo/), finally i found my number was under visa be ready to issue, but i still not get any letter from them, so print out that page from website and go to Detroit directly and get my passport stam and landing papper

So i will suggest you check their website very often, they update it every month, and it faster than you wait for the letter i think, becasue when i went Detroit, i found a lot of people there waitting for Visa (Summer time, everybody go Canada for travel), so maybe they are too busy to give you response
