If you don't have any immunization record, then just get the required shots from your family Doc or from school if you are still a student. Why bother with blood work? These shots are good for you anyway.

It is better to send in as complete a package as you can. If you wait for USCIS to do it, it may cause more delay then just a couple of weeks. So I will definitely wait till the medical exam is completed.
