NIW NCS REf help please

Thank you all ahead for enter here.
After submited my NIW application I moved to a diffrent university. Working on very close area. Diffrence is now I am doing anti-cancer drug development. Now got letter for more evidence, will what I am doing now benifit my ref or damage it?
I was told CIS only consider the job which I held when I submitted the application. Is this true?
Please help, any body have or know similar cases, please share.
