Keep US and Canadian PRs

I have US GC. I live in Canada and work on a full-time job in a Canadian university. I have applied canadian PR and the landing document will be issued soon.
Since my university is about 50 minutes drive from US border. I plan to move back to US after I get the maple card and work for the same university. I am not sure if it's possible I can work in Canada for a Canadian business and drive back to "sleep" in US, and the days still account in that 3 years?
