I agree with you

It's been a long long waiting process. My parents filed the petition for us as "married children of US citizen". The priority date is around Sept 1999. Although it seems that we only need to wait for less than two years to get the visa number, it will take at least 5 to 6 years to get there when considering the pace at "one month to advance 7 or 10 days". I just cannot wait for that.

So file the LC to speed it up, but being stalled in the backlog center. Finally decided to file EB-1b and got approved in 46 days.

I do encourage you to find a job and apply GC for yourself. Parents or relative's petition could be a backup in case you cannot do it by yourself. Good luck.
