when times comes for renew PR or citizenship you must provide evidence to convince officers that you have resided in canada for the required period of time. it's NOT their responsibilties to prove you did not violate the residence requirement. Also Canada and US do share immigration information. So don't even think about you are able to pretend that you stayed when you did not.
