i suppose you are a maple card holder, or are you a canadian citizen?

if you are a maple card holder, you need to file your income overseas, but you dont need to pay tax in canada.

however, if you are getting some government subsities (like child benefits), your overseas income will be counted as your overall income and you may not get any child benefit. i am not an expert but so far, it seems to be this case.

for regulations for citizens, i am not sure.
