出麻子is caused by small pox virus which belongs to

pox virus family, chicken pox is caused by varicella zoster virus which belongs to herpes virus family. Small pox symptoms are much more severe than chicken pox, and has been declared to be eliminated on the world by WHO, though some terrorist groups might used it as bioterrorism weapon.
Care for chicken pox is a little more like care for severe skin rash. My kid eventurally got chicken pox naturally before age 10 after my efforts. : )) He just stayed at home for a week and took an oatmeal bath everyday. Nothing left on his skin. If he gets it after age 16, the symptom would be much severe.
