Hotel Abbazia is a very charming hotel that I stayed in Venice. Five minutes walking distance from the train station (turn left after get out of the station), and the hotel is in a quiet ally off the busy market along the canal.

It was converted from a monastery, very charming. the bathroom is huge (unlike many mini ones you see typically in Europe). There is a beautiful courtyard you can drink wine at night. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is held at the courtyard each morning...couldn't get any better.

Of course, it's not far away from all the attractions as Venice is not a big island...
