從當初立法角度看，限製成年子女隨父母一同移民（age out) 就意味著成年的孩子不會被允許保留第一次130表格上的priority date， 否則，age out就沒有意義了。
成年的孩子父母拿到綠卡後，再一次申請成年子女的130表格會移民局會給一個新的priority date重新排隊等待。成年子女沒有辦法也不可能被允許使用第一次130表格上的priority date， 盡管他們的名字出現在第一次130表格上。
