真正訂的時候，my contact sends me a Tour Summary and a Proforma Invoice. 訂金是 25% of the total price. 會有一個secured payment link 接受 Visa or Mastercard 付款。這個 3rd party payment service is owned by Amazon Global Payment Services. 付款成功後會收到 email receipt from Amazon Payment Services, with the merchant name, invoice and the payment amount. 然後你再去click 那個 payment link, it would show Payment in Full, o balance on the invoice (the 25% deposit). The secured payment link is good for 8 or 9 days, it would show on the payment page. If it is passed you will need a new payment link to pay.
然後三十天 before service starts, you would receive the final payment Proforma invoice and again a new secured payment link.
In our case because Egypt Air drastically changed our flight schedules, directly caused we to modify our itinerary which led to cancellation of the land excursion to Abu Simbel, plus a hotel to airport transfer no longer needed. My contact modified the itinerary, resent me an updated itinerary and of course modified the total price of the package. Being overly cautious I made him to lust out in details on our modified itinerary in Cairo and Aswan so to avoid any confusion. 之後 I got the modified itinerary to my exact description I wanted. Then I was waiting for the Proforma Invoice and the payment link on the final payment ... and waiting ...
It turned out he went on vacation and I still did not received the final payment link when we were already 26 days to start our package. I tried to call the office a few times and eventually got hold of someone who then forwarded my message to my contact. That someone also assured me my contact got my message, not to worry. 我估計他們沒有想過有客人急於付款吧？我想把事情快點辦好是因為我們第一站是去約旦一周。一旦離開美國 沒有可靠 網絡 又不能用 1-800 和銀行聯係，如果付款出了問題比較難解決的。
卒之是出發前 20 days 才付了剩下的 75% （其實不到 因為 Total Price 少了）
這個 Private Tour 的車子 司機 和 導遊 是分開三程。 在開羅是一程，在阿斯旺 和尼羅河 cruise 上半段 是一程， 尼羅河 cruise 下半段 和 Luxor 是一程。每一程有一個當地 branch 的 Director 和你聯係 make sure everything is alright. 我們不滿意在阿斯旺第一個導遊 第二天就換了一個。 Directors also either came to the airport to meet us or met us at one sightseeing spot. 最後在 Luxor 回 開羅那天早上六點 Director 和司機一塊兒到酒店接我們去機場 辦理登機手續什麽的都在一旁協助。除了 開羅那位是有些糊塗，忘這忘那的。我經常要 premptive 的提醒她。其它兩位 directors 都很 professional.
我們在開羅有一天是搬酒店 - 早上 check out Marriott Mena House, 當天是遊開羅市內的景點 包括埃及博物館，各個教堂，Citadel, Islamic Old Cairo and Mosques. 最後去機場旁邊的 Le Meridien 住 （第二天早上 是 6:15 的飛機去阿斯旺 然後去 Abu Simbel) 所以要住 Le Meridien) 行李這一天都是在車子的尾箱。 車子有司機負責 導遊負責協調從那兒到那兒。事實上 在去機場酒店時 導遊在剛出了 Old Town 就和我們分手了 司機負責把我們送到 Ke Meriden. 途中堵車非常嚴重 我們過意不去 給了司機 100 埃鎊小費。他很高興。其實才 4美元左右。現在是 3.70 美元。
關於司機和導遊的小費，基本上全天的行程，司機是100 導遊是 200。司機不一定全程是同一位，我通常會問清楚。我是最後一次服務那天給所有的小費。一程的車子 是 30 to 40。 Porters depends. 在 Luxor 機場那些 根本不需要的 但他們仍然要來提 就兩個石級的様子 10 is enough. 但是在 cruise 碼頭從河岸到馬路邊 上下很徒的很長的石級 30. 如果他一個人要提兩個登機箱 給 50。 你會發現所有的服務人員都期待小費 看墓的人也是。數目不多但是要預備很多零鈔也是很煩的。很多遊客直接給一美元。這個也做成景點外麵常常有人希望用一疊一美元和你換 either EGP or US$20, 因為他們不能用一美元去換 埃鎊 要二十美元麵額以上的。 小費如果價值是二十美元以上 給美元是受歡迎的 因為美元保值和增值。
