在寒冷地區，朝天椒和櫻桃西紅柿可以在室內過冬。

波士頓一年有五個月冰天雪地，和加州完全無法比。無霜期短。但是有些東西可以放到室內過冬。其中最容易的就是朝天椒和櫻桃西紅柿。

朝天椒第二年結果最佳。今年這棵盆小，還可以更大。第三年以後結果就差了。我養的最長壽的是五年。西紅柿中隻有櫻桃品係可以過冬，也是第二年比第一年結果更多。養到三年後就半死不活了。
