The large amount of small boats are used to consume US ammunition which will soon becoming low.
I am pretty sure CCP is watching all this to unfold with interest and amusement..
The US navy is constructed to tackle major foe with large ships, not one with a lot of smaller boats, and have no adequate vessels or weapons suitable for that task. The plans for building smaller and more versatile vessels in the past couple of decades never produced something that works. A lot of corruptions in the defense industry.
