Taylor Rehmet (D) defeated Trump endorsed Leigh Wambsganss (R) in Texas state senate runoff 57:43, the district SD 9 Trump won by 17 points in 2024. TX SD 9 had been in Rep control since 1991. There will be a rematch between Rehmet and Wambsganss in Nov general election.
