The 2025 U.S. Navy recruitment goal was met three months ahead of schedule and ultimately exceeded, with 44,096 enlisted sailors recruited in fiscal year 2025. This success is attributed to a combination of factors including modernizing marketing, streamlining processes, and implementing support systems like a Future Sailor Preparatory Course. Changes also included raising the enlistment age to 41 and a focus on connecting with Gen Z through personal growth and purpose.
