脆弱的供應鏈:Stellantis要繼續關閉密西根的車廠

Stellantis extends Michigan plant shutdown due to parts shortage - Bloomberg

Stellantis NV will keep its Michigan plant closed for several more weeks as it grapples with a shortage of key components following an aluminum factory fire last month, Bloomberg reports.

The Warren plant, which produces the high-end Jeep Wagoneer SUV, stopped operations on Monday, October 13, and will remain idle until the week of November 3, the company confirmed to Bloomberg via email.

While Stellantis only cited "a parts shortage" without providing specific details, Eric Graham, president of United Auto Workers Local 140, which represents hourly employees at the Warren facility, said the plant lacks aluminum hoods and doors needed for Wagoneer production.

According to Bloomberg, citing Graham, Stellantis has informed workers that the aluminum factory fire is responsible for the supply disruption.

The extended shutdown highlights the growing impact of the supplier’s fire on automotive production chains.
