2024 was a challenging year for Lockheed, which not only had to deal with supply chain issues but also with delays from the Technology Refresh 3 update (which had one point had around 100 F-35s parked around Lockheed facilities with the DoD refusing delivery).
Earlier in the year, Lockheed estimated it would be able to deliver
between 75 and 110 fighter jets. However, at the end of the year, Lockheed managed to deliver some 110 F-35s
(including limited numbers assembled at its final assembly and checkout
facilities in Japan and Italy). At 110 F-35s delivered, the F-35 was
possibly the most delivered fighter jet in the world (depending on
China's Chengdu J-20 Mighty Dragon fighter).
