I don't like this guy. I believe China need to explore new market, outside of US. There's only so much you can consume internally. Open up and go out and you will find that US market is just a small part of the global market. Outside of US, there’s a bigger world out there waiting for you to discover! You just need to study the rules/ customs/ laws of the different markets. Decoupling with US market is not the answer for the 5% GDP goal this year. CCP should not suspend any shipment to US nor depreciate its currency intentionally against other countries (e.g. EU). Sometimes market is a better regulator than the state. Furthermore, the price of many Chinese goods is just the fraction of the equivalent EU goods sometimes, depreciate the currency intentionally in order to make the already cheap goods cheaper will not make a big difference. It's only gonna make CCP a communist party of the market rule breaker.
If CCP wants to punish US, can they dump US bond and crash US dollar? I don’t know anything about this but I know Trump wants a strong US dollar. Weaker US dollar + higher tariff will make US goods price soar and make inflation much higher and Trump admin collapse.
