Rick Scott is a good man, the only few republicans who can still hold their own morals when facing Trump, even though they know what they do can and will have deadly consequences, (And I am not just speaking rhetorically). Those people need to be cherished. I don’t know if Rick Scott is trying to help CCP or not. CCP don’t seem to understand that in US, leadership change is a regular and a most common thing. Also CCP’s leadership never changes (e.g. Xi and his two-term limit removal in constitutional amendment). If MAGA politicians are not loyalty to Trump, s/he will probably be replaced the next second. And even more, their life will likely be in danger too. You think Putin will hesitate to assassinate any of his political enemies?
Also, I thought USA has its own rare earth minerals. US want to conserve its own mineral resources and protect its environment, so it buys from other countries like China? I don’t think CCP’s rare earth mineral ban really hit US. However, when Ontario announced that it will stop supplying NY electricity if Trump raise tariff on Canadian oil/ gas, that really freaked Trump out.
In addition, any existing laws and regulation will likely be changed to Trump’s liking. So don’t take the current US law’s and policies too seriously. Trump will make sure his policies will be anti-China and plug in any loopholes CCP is currently using.
All in all, in strategy, CCP should assume no US market and try to explore other new markets. I don't think CCP should manipulate RMB in order to counter Trump's tarriff. How can you deal with 100% tarriff? And if your product is good, Americans will just have to pay a little more to buy it now. Blame Trump if they have to because Trump made inflation even worse.
I don’t know if reestablishing a fair WTO will help or not? But it may be worth a try.
CCP should really start transitioning to democratic practice and to allow real citizens to participate in discussion and debate of everyday issues. Then you will have a better understanding of the true picture and obtain more and better opinions. Could CCP start the election on those low-ranking positions, like community or street positions and expand from there?
- I like the idea to isolate Nazi axis (Putin, US, Argentina…) and to embrace other European and regional allies, in terms of trade, technology and etc. It sounds like Putin and his Gestapo Trump want to disengage with China. Then CCP should explore other market, other than US, and to stop buying Russian oil and gas to stop funding Nazi’s war machine.
