新Iphone 在中國剛出來就降價處理,可見創新能力和競爭能力下降

Apple iPhone 16 Selling at Discounts on Chinese E-Commerce Platforms, SCMP Reports

$Apple (AAPL.US)$'s latest iPhone models are already selling at discounts online in China slightly more than a week after its debut as many consumers delay buying until the series gets its generative artificial intelligence features sometime later this year or early 2025, the South China Morning Post reported Tuesday.

The company said its Apple Intelligence platform is "coming in beta this fall" as part of operating system updates. The AI application initially will only be available for devices set on US English language, it said, with other features and languages arriving "over the course of the next year."

An iPhone 16 Plus with 512 gigabytes of storage is selling for 8,999 renminbi ($1,268) on PDD Holdings' (PDD) Pinduoduo e-commerce platform, down from its 9,999 renminbi list price, according to the newspaper. The price for the 256 GB version of the iPhone 16 Pro Max on both Pinduoduo and Alibaba's (BABA) Taobao marketplace also has been marked down 4% to 9,599 renminbi, it said.
