Americans don't like to eat vegetables. Their staples are beef, milk, cheese, bread etc. Americans love their beef cooked rare and their vegetables raw, as in salad. There's no right or wrong, just difference preferences. In comparison, Chinese eat a lot of vegetables (which is good and healthy), pork, etc.
