The principle of Russia is to occupy more land from neighbor

ing countries include China.  Chinese leader has no strategic thinking, only tactic.  They try to use Russia to play down the pressure from US now. but what is the future? When Russia is back to life, they probably apply more pressure on china since China wants to take his lunch now.
