CTEH employees worked in East Palestine after the Feb. 3 derailment, according to the Akron Beacon Journal. However, the crew on board the plane was not among them.

“They were responding to an incident at the Schumann and Company metals plant in Bedford, Ohio,” said CTEH spokesperson Denver Peacock. “Completely separate response.”
