Vladimir Putin and Wang Yi, China’s top foreign policy official, vowed to “strengthen” Moscow’s ties with Beijing at a meeting in the Kremlin ahead of the first anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and amid a Chinese diplomatic push to end the conflict.
“China-Russia relations have withstood pressure from the international community and are developing in a very stable manner against the backdrop of a very complex, changing international situation,” Wang told the Russian president on Wednesday.
