I have to say my friend has the exact situation with yours. His credit card was charge almost $7000 just a couple of days in CA, and the difference is the credit card suspended his card and called him about possible fraud. He is still disputing even some transaction got reversed by the same reason your letter mentioned.

I suggest you first cancel your credit card and ask a new one (this should be done ASAP)
The sencond go on disputing because it is definitely your signature, why paid.
