Real "elite" chinese students will go to the very top Chinese Universities and then go to US with full scholarships.
Frankly, I do not see any problem with what in the article. A group of terrible students cheat. Universities know it but do not care because they want the tuition money. It is like selling study permission. I am sure that the tuition and other fees e.g., food and board, can more than cover the cost. Universities can even use the "profit" for other students. If these cheaters fail to graduate, they deserve it. If they graduate, they deserve it too, since they pay the tuition. The only people who might suffer are those boneheads who believe every person with a foreign college degree is a genius. But they also deserve it, don't they?
