There are many people in society who place too much emphasis on materialism and believe that this will grant them happiness in the afterlife. However, this is not the case and the metaphorical ‘piper’, be he the voice of reason, God or a messenger thereof, will show us true, spiritual happiness, should we choose to listen. It is never too late to change our mentality, however be wary of those who will try to convince us of the importance and abilities of materialism to benefit us in both our lives and afterlives.
