Sydney bomb hoax victim Madeleine Pulver says she is "relieved" police have arrested a suspect.
Australian businessman Paul Douglas Peters was taken into custody early yesterday morning after an FBI SWAT team raided a house in Louisville in the US state of Kentucky.
The 50-year-old appeared in US District Court in Louisville overnight, accused of breaking into 18-year-old Madeleine's family home in Mosman on Sydney's lower North Shore on August 3 and strapping a fake bomb to her neck.
When questioned by the media outside her Mosman home this morning about the arrest, Madeleine said she was "very relieved".
"It's all very surreal."
Her businessman father Bill added that the family were "feeling good".
An extradition hearing for Peters is set down for October 14.
