Very true - all politicians are the profiters already, so they set laws to limit new property development as most of them have a few properties in the old areas like Burwood, Earlwood, Ashfield or Chatswood already.
They are manually making the 'fact of demand unfulfilled by supplies' by prolonging procedures of new development. It is a very dark side of local politics but no one wants to change as both of the parties are in mutual interest in this area. Most chinese people are making only 500 or 600 dollars a week, not even able to cover interest, to buy a property is like talking about dreams - that's why so many people are so keen to buy LOTO everyweek. Only that may be a way out.
