Telstra is solo major provider in australia, and more important, AU government is one of the major shareholder of it. but Rudd does not choose to further negotiation or trying to control of the company instead of setting up NBN. they have no clear idea of building a new national network and how to fund and run it. but just scrap Telstra. one hand Rudd spend money to build something even he does not know and in other hand, smashes the value of the company it owns.
