when you cannot aford to live in those prestige suburb...you just have to spread all your senses out furthur to extend your defense perimeter..

few more seconds delay will save your life...

ie: few days before 911, I heard someone was runing from behind, I turned back and tried say hello when I was finish my day of work... I saw 2 face-covered youth were running towards me... I yelled to my wife who was 5 meter front of me to run and ask for help... my wife had yelled and drew attention... help was running towards us... I survived with 14 stiched on my head...

if my sense was not layed out far, I might have more damage...
